Ducks Beach is a well established, successful beach training program. Beach sessions consist of technical skills, systems play and learning the rules of beach volleyball. The sessions will be run by members of the Ducks coaching staff and will consist of both drills and game play.  Training is geared with the understanding that due to various reasons throughout the summer, athletes may not be able to attend every practice.

The goal of Ducks Beach is to provide new beach players with an opportunity to learn the game and develop their skills, for experienced beach players we strive to provide them with appropriate training to prepare them for competition.  Furthermore, the Ducks Beach Club is also focused on the development of athletes planning on playing in our club for the 2012 indoor season.

Ducks Beach will take place throughout the summer.  Weather permitting, Ducks Beach will take place during the scheduled times.  Athletes are encouraged to attend all beach practices, regardless of the weather, throughout the summer.  Unfortunately, due to severe weather practice may be cancelled.
During days where practice may be cancelled, athletes are expected to check the Ducks Volleyball Facebook Page, or the Ducks Volleyball Club Twitter Page, 1 hour prior to practice. Please use the links below to get connected to both our Twitter and Facebook Pages. We will not be sending out group emails this year or posting on the website, only facebook & twitter will be used to update on cancellations.

Tournaments:

Athletes are encouraged to enter beach tournaments throughout the summer.  In order to attend these tournaments, athletes must find a partner, and have their parents register their team with whomever is running the tournament. The Ducks fee does not include tournament entry fees. These tournaments fill up extremely fast, and athletes and parents are encouraged to register early. Beach tournaments are athlete and parent centred, therefore, parents must communicate with other parents and are responsible for registering and transporting your daughter to and from the tournaments.  I have posted a link to some beach tournaments below.  It is highly recommended that athletes attend the provincial championships.
